Introducing Pravail APS 3.1

Today, we’re very pleased to have announced an updated version of our enterprise DDoS solution, the Pravail® Availability Protection System (APS).

Pravail APS focuses on securing enterprises and their data centers from availability threats—specifically, by protecting against distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks. It is the only product exclusively focused on keeping services available and stopping attacks that intentionally render critical services inaccessible.

From the HostingCon 2013 trade show floor

Austin, Texas played host this past week to HostingCon 2013, an event dedicated to hosting providers and vendors who market to this niche segment. While smaller in size, this show proved itself to be a unique venue where the attendees were no-nonsense, focused, and motivated to find solutions to very real problems. I have to say it was a surprise and a welcome departure from the gigantic venues where most attendees only want to know how to get swag and be entered into drawings.

Thoughts on the Gartner Security & Risk Management Summit

Last week, a group of us from Arbor attended Gartner’s Security and Risk Management Summit in National Harbour, MD, near Washington DC. The summit featured an amazing number of Gartner analysts, security practitioners, CISO’s, and vendors over three and a half days, and it was an excellent opportunity to hear about timely enterprise security topics.  From a network security perspective, mobility, cloud, advanced threats, and big data for security were major hot themes.
