Carrier-Class Application Intelligence and Threat Mitigation
With the Arbor Peakflow SP Threat Management System (TMS) device, Peakflow SP is the first platform to extensively integrate network-wide intelligence and carrier-class threat management. Peakflow SP TMS enables you to identify and stop network and application-layer attacks without interrupting the flow of legitimate traffic. Fully integrated with the Peakflow SP solution, Peakflow SP TMS provides cost-effective network and application-layer threat detection, mitigation and reporting – allowing you to maintain critical IP services.
Robust Threat Management for Converged Networks
Arbor Peakflow SP TMS is an application intelligent device for multi-service converged networks. It augments the network-wide situation awareness of Peakflow SP and speeds remediation by coupling high-level threat identification with deep packet-level analysis. It complements Peakflow SP’s other mitigation techniques, including fingerprint sharing, Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) black-hole routing, BGP flow-spec and support for third-party packet scrubbing products.
Surgical Mitigation
Arbor Peakflow SP TMS enables you to automatically detect and surgically remove only the attack traffic while maintaining legitimate business traffic – thereby ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Application Layer Intelligence and Security
Arbor Peakflow SP TMS provides deep packet inspection (DPI) of IP services and applications such as DNS, HTTP, VoIP, IM and P2P. As a result, you gain the application-layer visibility and protection needed to maintain network availability, reduce support costs and optimize business services.
Superior Performance and Extensibility
Arbor offers a choice of Peakflow SP TMS models to meet diverse deployment needs and enable new uses ranging from DDoS mitigation to flow generation. These models include:
- Peakflow SP TMS 1200 – A 1RU appliance, capable of supporting 1.5 Gbps of surgical mitigation, designed to be deployed in dedicated customer and edge POP scenarios.
- Peakflow SP TMS 2200 – A 2RU appliance, capable of supporting 1.5 Gbps of surgical mitigation, designed to be deployed in dedicated customer and edge POP scenarios that require NEBS compliance.
- Peakflow SP TMS 2700 – A 2RU appliance, capable of supporting 3-8 Gbps of surgical mitigation, designed to be deployed in regional scrubbing centers, large peering POPs, major network gateways or next to critical network infrastructure.
- Peakflow SP TMS 3100 – A 3RU appliance, capable of supporting 10 Gbps of surgical mitigation, designed to be deployed in regional scrubbing centers, large peering POPs, major network gateways or next to critical network infrastructure.
