Participants learn what distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks are and how the Peakflow SP TMS tool can be used to mitigate and report on the details of the attack. Participants will learn how to use the Alert Summary functionality of Peakflow SP in order to initiate a mitigation. Various mitigation options and how they can be used to lessen the impact of attacks are also covered. During the lab exercise portion of the course, participants will detect, interpret and mitigate various types of attacks.

Target Audience: Network operations and security staff who are responsible for monitoring network anomalies and implementing mitigations using Peakflow SP TMS.
