Vice President and General Counsel Gant has practiced law for thirteen years; eleven of those years as in-house counsel for security software companies. Prior to joining Arbor, Gant was Director of Operations and Corporate Counsel for Authentica, Inc., where he was responsible for all the legal and operational responsibilities of a start-up company. Prior to Authentica, Gant was Corporate Counsel for AXENT Technologies, which was later sold to Symantec Corporation. In 1997, Gant was appointed membership on the President's Export Counsel Subcommittee on Encryption (PECSENC). PECSENC advises the President of the United States on policies affecting the exportation of encryption technologies and their relation to global stability and security. Gant holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Wake Forest University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia, and is admitted to practice law in Virginia and Massachusetts. |
