What We Do

Educational Services

Arbor Networks offers a comprehensive suite of technical training courses, each geared to participants with distinct skill sets: from novice network operators to senior systems administrators. Seasoned technical instructors with extensive real world security and networking experience lead the classes, which include all needed training materials. Each training session combines classroom instruction with tailored, hands-on experiences in live networks, so participants learn practical rather than theoretical skills. This process enables participants to gain the knowledge required to maximize product performance and lead to the ongoing successful operation of the Arbor solution.

Arbor e30 Installation and Provisioning

This course provides an overview of the Arbor e30 solution ("e30") and equips participants with the knowledge and skills needed to install it successfully. Participants also learn how to verify the successful installation of the Service Logic Software (SLS) and firmware on the e30 solution. Read more...

Arbor e30 Configuration and Operations

In this course, participants gain a comprehensive understanding of the Arbor e30 solution ("e30") and its architecture. The course provides an overview of the Service Logic Software (SLS) and hardware within the e30 solution. It also equips participants with the knowledge and skills needed to implement the bandwidth management, service plan management and quota management functionality of the e30—allowing full network optimization during off-peak and peak periods. Additionally, participants learn how to identify subscribers, measure network usage and enforce policies—providing greater visibility into network traffic patterns on a per application and per subscriber basis. Read more...

Arbor e100 Installation and Provisioning

This course provides an overview of the Arbor e100 solution ("e100") and equips participants with the knowledge and skills needed to install it successfully. Participants also learn how to verify the successful installation of the server element software and firmware on the e100 solution. Read more...

Arbor e100 Configuration and Operations

In this course, participants gain a comprehensive understanding of the Arbor e100 solution ("e100") and its architecture. The course provides an overview of the many challenges that service providers face. The e100 offers an integrated suite of Service Logic Software (SLS) options that cover reporting, subscriber management, API writing and traffic monitoring—allowing far greater network visibility. Participants learn how to configure the e100 using its Web-based configuration tool (Configuration Manager) and how to generate reports with interactive graphs and charts via an easy-to-use Web user interface called Reporting Manager (RM). Additionally, participants learn how to interpret flow tables, subscriber applications, network signatures and e100 network placement. Read more...

Peakflow SP TMS Training

Participants will learn what distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks are and how the Peakflow SP TMS tool can be used to mitigate and report on the details of the attack. Participants will learn how to use the Alert Summary functionality of Peakflow SP in order to initiate a mitigation. Various mitigation options and how they can be used to lessen the impact of attacks are also covered. During the lab exercise portion of the course, participants will detect, interpret and mitigate various types of attacks. Read more...

Peakflow SP User Training

In this course, participants learn about distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks and how Peakflow SP can detect, trace and report on the anomalous network activity caused by these attacks. The course provides a comprehensive overview of how to use the Peakflow SP graphical user interface (GUI) and how to interpret data collected by the system to determine where and when attacks are occurring. The mitigation options available to lessen the impact of attacks are also covered. In addition, the course equips participants with the knowledge and skills needed to use the traffic analysis and visualization functionality of Peakflow SP. Specifically, participants learn how to use Peakflow SP to produce reports that support network peering analysis, capacity planning functions, BGP policy management and customer accounting. Read more...

Peakflow SP User/Administrator Training

This combination course covers all of the material and topics from the Peakflow SP User Training, but in greater detail. Additionally, participants also learn how to deploy, configure and perform the ongoing Peakflow SP administration functions. Read more...

Peakflow X User/Administrator Training

This course focuses on the use of the Peakflow X solution within the enterprise network and outlines what information the system collects, processes and stores. Participants learn how to collect, display and utilize the pertinent information required to meet corporate network security objectives. Additionally, the course provides participants with the knowledge and skills needed to install, configure, operate and perform ongoing Peakflow X administrative functions. Read more...
