LEXINGTON, Mass., November 30, 2004— Arbor Networks, a leader in network integrity systems, today announced that CableLabs®, a non-profit cable telecommunications research and development consortium, has deployed Arbor’s Peakflow® SP network integrity platform. Peakflow SP is helping CableLabs with network-wide traffic and routing management as well as defending CableLabs’ network from distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks, network worms and other anomalous events.

Using Peakflow’s traffic analysis capabilities, CableLabs has strengthened its capacity planning program by using Peakflow SP to maximize visibility into the network, better understand traffic destinations, and make smart peering decisions to reduce operating costs.
