Arbor Peakflow X provides unrivaled Internal Threat Detection and Protection

Lexington, Mass., June 29, 2006 — Arbor Networks a provider of core-to-core network security and operational performance for global business networks, has been awarded the prestigious Techworld award for Security Product of the Year. Techworld received a record number of entries this year and the award was delivered to Arbor in recognition of its excellent and innovative Arbor Peakflow X solution.

Arbor Peakflow X provides unprecedented network-wide visibility to actively defend internal networks from insider misuse, spyware, phishing, pharming, botnets, zero-day attacks and propogating worms. Designed from the ground up, as an internal network security system, it is Arbor Networks’ intelligent technology for network-data collection, analysis, anomaly detection and threat detection.

“We are delighted to be recognized by the TechWorld with the Security Product of the Year in 2006 for Arbor Peakflow X,” said Steve Mulhearn, European Technical Director at Arbor Networks. “This serves as recognition for our continued success in providing our customers with groundbreaking solutions that enable enterprises to protect themselves against the threats that target the internal network”.

“Arbor Peakflow X provides real views of network activity enabling organizations to instantly protect themselves against malicious behavior, Denial of Service attacks, worms and other threats, while simplifying compliance through real-time auditing and network monitoring” Continues Mulhearn. “Arbor Peakflow X also enables IT administrators to track and harden threatened resources before vulnerabilities can be exploited while preserving business continuity.”

The awards were presented on 28th June at a glittering gala evening at the Royal Courts of Justice.
