Arbor Networks Wins 2004 MITX Technology Award
Peakflow X 3.0 Recognized for Protecting Enterprise Networks from Internet Worms

Lexington, Mass. – September 27, 2004 – Arbor Networks has been selected as the winner in the “Best Network Infrastructure-Systems Management Application” category at the 2004 MITX Technology Awards. Held by the Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange, the MITX Technology Awards recognize some of New England’s most innovative technologies, individuals and companies that have made significant contributions to advance technology in the region.

“Technology and innovation continue to thrive in New England and our Award winner Arbor Networks is a true testament to that fact,” said Leslie Cushing, executive director of MITX. “Arbor’s Peakflow X is a ground-breaking solution that enables enterprises to protect themselves against the growing and costly threat of worm attacks.”

“New England has a wealth of creative and competitive technology companies that are providing solutions around the globe, so we are truly honored by this award,” said Thomas Arthur, president and CEO of Arbor Networks. “Peakflow X solves the internal security threat by actively defending enterprise networks against worms; detecting and eliminating insider misuse; and hardening the internal network before vulnerabilities are discovered.”

The Awards were presented September 22 at a ceremony at the Four Seasons Hotel and was attended by 200 of the region’s top technology and business professionals. Additional award honorees included Ray Stata, Chairman of Analog Devices for the Lifetime Achievement Award and Dr. Charles Vest, President of MIT for the Innovation Influencer of the Year Award.
