Mass Technology Leadership Council Awards Recognize Outstanding Technology Development, Implementation and Leadership
Lexington, Mass., October 12, 2006 – Arbor Networks, Inc., a provider of core-to-core network security and operational performance for global business networks, announced today that it has won a 2006 Mass Technology Leadership Award from the Mass Technology Leadership Council. Arbor Networks has been recognized as the winner in the Outstanding Technology Vendor for Systems/Tools/Infrastructure category. Winners were announced at an awards banquet held at the Boston Marriott Copley Place Hotel on Wednesday, October 11th.
Arbor's solutions are built upon the Arbor Peakflow® platform, an architecture for network-wide data collection, analysis, and anomaly detection. This unique platform creates models of normal network behavior from the edge through the core by analyzing flow statistics. Then, in real time, it compares traffic against these baselines to perform network anomaly detection. Arbor targets solutions for enterprises and service providers with Arbor Peakflow X and Arbor Peakflow SP products, respectively.
“Being honored by the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council for technology excellence speaks greatly to our position as a leader in the network security industry,” said Arbor Networks CEO Jack Boyle. “In the spirit of this award, we look forward to continuing to develop and deploy technology that helps define Massachusetts as an innovative technology community.”
The only awards program to recognize outstanding achievement in both the development and implementation of information technology, the Mass Technology Leadership Awards honor Massachusetts companies and individuals who best exemplify leadership and excellence in business and technology. The awards program builds on the traditions of the Massachusetts Software Council and the New England Business and Technology Association (NEBATA), the two organizations that merged last year to form the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council.
The council assembled a select group of leaders and influencers in the Massachusetts technology community to serve on the awards selection committee. Committee members evaluated and selected the winners based on recent achievements in making significant contributions to the industry, customers, and their businesses.
